Style me Pretty – Inspiration Board

It’s an absolute must that I check out the Style Me Pretty blog every morning, but this morning I was so busy I just didn’t get a chance to. However, I made some time for it tonight and what did it do, none other than inspire me 🙂 There was a “Dear Abby” post about the need for color inspiration for a fall wedding.

Inspiration Board

I saw what looked to be like the wedding ceremony facility and was all gung ho about trying to create a board myself. The copper was just glowing at me from the picture. So I tried a board that was developed with coppers, eggplant purple, emerald green, and cobalt blue! Thanks for the inspiration! It’s fun to tinker around 🙂

Illuminations *SALE*

Some how October just blew right past me like a dandelion in the wind. There were so many beautiful weddings (which I will post as soon as I get photos from the photographers) and the weather in Arizona couldn’t have been nicer! This is the one time of the year that I absolutely adore. Not only because the holidays are glowing around the corners and the weather outside is amazing, but because there are so many wonderful sale items as the holidays pass. I absolutely adore collecting wedding items for 50 – 75% off for brides to use next fall, or even to take the fall / winter look away from them and use any time of the year. Like a nice candleabra! All you have to do is remove the fall berries that surround it and you create a nice universal piece that can be used at any time. Speaking of awesome sale items — I found on Illuminations.com some pretty cool suff to check out. The lanterns could line the aisle ways for the ceremony, universal candleabras that can be adorned with any seasonal decor, and hanging chandaliers that are just amazing looking.

“Chocolate Biscotti” Fall Table decor

Ok ok so there isn’t really anything chocolate about it other than the color, but my table still looks quite delicious (if I do say so myself). I have this big, beautiful open kitchen and the table gets to be my work of art every two months. Yes, I really change it out every two months according to the seasons and a particular theme.

I just went from my “End of Summer Orchid” table into my “Chocolate Biscotti” Fall table decor. Bet you would never guess what’s in store for my table in 3 months?!?!! 🙂 Winter Wonderland?? Christmas in Phoenix?? Snow? Green? You never know — but have to stay tuned!!

Fall is in the Air

My absolute favorite time of the year is the fall. Some ask if we even have “seasons” in Arizona and my reply is always as follows …. “Anything out of the triple digits, I consider that a season change!” I just love when it finally starts to come down out of the 120 degree temperatures, how the sunlight starts to dim, how it gets darker earlier (although I get more done when the sun is out longer), and most importantly I love when fall approaches because it means the holidays are coming. I can’t wait to decorate our kitchen table with my fall settings! With that in mind, I set out today to find some inspiration for decor and thought I would post some pictures from my album of collections from beautiful florist, event designers, or magazine websites.

Camo & Pink baby shower

My hairstylist is getting ready to have a baby this winter and of course I told her that I would do her invitations for her shower. But an invitation is only as good as it’s décor. Therefore, I also got the task of helping set the theme and pick the decorations. YAY! I’m so excited!! Her husband just recently reenlisted in the military and bluntly stated that he will be attending the baby shower (we all know it’s for the food of course!). He also became the inspiration for our theme and the mommy-to-be couldn’t be happier! Hot pink and camouflage. (I wish I could find more pink camouflage party items, but this will be perfect too!)

Here is our inspiration board. The camo will be in the accents (cups, plates, napkins and loot bags) and the pink will be the primary (flowers, balloons, streamers, table linens). I can’t wait to start the invitations and will post them as soon as I have them designed!

What bride can resist adding a little extra sparkle to her wedding day? This is the one big chance to drip in jewels and enjoy every minute of it. Not only do I love adding Swarovski rhinestones to our beautiful invitation designs, but I love accessorizing beautiful brides with them. The jewerly just has an extra sparkle to it that will catch anyones eye. And, it makes for a great, memorable bridal party gift.

Vintage Glam and Old World

I’m so excited to get ready to launch my business come this October. Just the other day I was looking for a vendor to supply us with creative pieces for wedding / event decor other than floral items. I love love love using flowers, but I also like a creative host who can utilize candles and fun accessories along with flowers or even stand alone.

I think these two sets are just beautiful for a Vintage Glam or a Old World look.
