My husband has a thing to play with YouTube on his iTv and we came across the video for Avril’s wedding. I thought it was so cute that I just had to post it!! She makes such an AMAZING brides!! So beautiful!! But what I found facinating (for some odd reason) was watching her do the things that “normal” brides do like the candle lighting ceremony and having a nice wedding, not OVER the top celebrity glamerous. It’s just perfect, in my opinion!!

I’m so excited to get ready to launch my business come this October. Just the other day I was looking for a vendor to supply us with creative pieces for wedding / event decor other than floral items. I love love love using flowers, but I also like a creative host who can utilize candles and fun accessories along with flowers or even stand alone.

I think these two sets are just beautiful for a Vintage Glam or a Old World look.

Arizona Sunset Time and Temps

I have a lot of brides asking me when to host their ceremony, so I thought these sunset and temperature times (AZ only — sorry) would help! OR — for you out of towners, this weather / sunset almanac is AWESOME!!
http://www.uswx.com/us/almanac/ (just put in your zip code and wedding date).

Weather Almanac

True story — I actually listened to the almanac that kept telling me a 30% chance of rain on our wedding day, which is a bit high for Arizona. (yes, it rains in Arizona). Then one day I had a nightmare that it was going to rain on our day for our all outdoor ceremony and reception. So in panic, I changed our date, location, color, and decor just three months before our actual wedding. Everyone made fun of me, but I can’t be more thankful that I went with my gut feeling. It not only rained on our wedding day, but the 3 days prior. Which would have been a soggy nightmare walking, sitting, and parting on the greens of a golf course. In the end, I was the one who got the last laugh and it was kind of fun, if I do say so myself. (Moral of that story — Follow your feelings!!!!)

We, at the Event Essentials, would like to wish a very big CONGRATULATIONS to Shegun and Amy! They wed in a beautiful Mexico destination in May of 2007. An amazing couple with amazing pictures that we just had to share.

When they returned back to the Valley of the Sun, they hosted a beautiful reception for friends and family that were unable to attend the Mexico celebration. The evening was full of energy with lively music, the tables were spread with delicious food that was catered in as well as made special by the grooms mom, and people danced the night away.

Best wishes for a happy marriage and congratulations, again!!
